It is smoother, creamier, sweeter, and beautifully balanced, without sacrificing the unmistakable soul of authentic Mysore sandalwood.

This is a truly exceptional sandalwood oil. It has everything you want, expect, and crave in good-quality Mysore sandalwood.
Upon first sniffing, you know immediately that this oil has been extracted with ultimate care from the finest heartwood. It definitely has some age to it—devoid of the sourish, milky notes you typically get in freshly distilled oils. Right from the start, I was greeted by that creamy, waxy note of Mysore. There is a tinge of sourness for split seconds, but it fades away completely. What remains is the softest palpable woody-incensey kiss and that out-of-the-world creaminess… Woah! It is a true treat to your olfactory senses. This oil puts you in a meditative mood. It calms your senses and encourages introspection—such are the effects of genuine Mysore sandalwood. There is a reason this aroma has enchanted fragrance enthusiasts for so long. All you need is right mood, pleasant weather and some free time to enjoy the journey this oil will take you onto.
I tend to incline towards Mysore because it is sweet, creamy, and waxy. Australian oils, by contrast, are often more papery and spicy. I did get a little bit of spiciness up top that reminded me of Australian sandalwood, but it went away before I could really register it. A really good thing, since I’m not a big fan of that gingery spiciness!
Verdict
This was my first purchase from Umair bhai, but definitely not the last. It is truly artistic, quality distillation at an amazing price. You are nowhere near finding this quality in the commercial market (and I own a few, so I know ! LOL). It is indeed a Sultan.
